Stockton's BIG Challenge is a free competition to get as many people as possible walking and cycling to work and other places. You will feel better for it and give yourself the chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
 
You could win a weekend holiday for two, white water rafting sessions, family days at Splash or ice skating, spa treatment days, family tickets for the Hollywood Bowl, Go Outdoors shopping vouchers, Skinnergate Cycles vouchers and loads more!!
Competition categories include:
  • Active travel prize - this is the one for everyone, travel actively to the shops, to work or just go for a bike ride or walk and you could win a prize.
  • The BIG Challenge bike or walk to work prize draw – for anyone entering work related journeys. The more you enter; the greater your chances
  • Weekly spot prize winners – for all journeys in which you would have previously used the car.
  • Best walking or cycling related stories. Chosen from your entries on the website.
  • Organisation & Department Winners – for local businesses; decided on the percentage of staff participating and the number of journeys entered.
All you need to do is swap some or all of those journeys you normaly make in the car for walking or cycling. You can even use the bus or train and count the journeys from the bus or train station.Every time that you cycle or walk to work and other places and log your trip on this website you will be entered into the prize draw.So the more trips you cycle and walk for transport,the more chances you have of winning prizes!

You can walk or cycle whenever you like during the Challenge, so long as it is for at least 5 minutes if walking or greater than 1 mile if cycling.
